Terms, Conditions, Reschedules, Cancellations, Expectations

Scheduling

Check our schedule for course dates.  Intro to Sailing, Private Instruction, and Sail Training Practice and Coaching are all by appointment only.   If no students are enrolled 10 days before a class is scheduled to begin, we will cancel that class and accept appointments during that time period.

Payment

Payment is due when you book your course or class.   We accept major credit and debit cards, check, or cash (exact change please).  Payment can be made online from an invoice emailed to the student, over the phone, or in person.

Reschedules

When weather threatens, we will adjust our schedule to ensure a successful and safe learning experience and outcome.   We will sail in the rain but we will not sail in heavy wind (local small craft warnings and class dependent), thunder, or lightning.  When severe weather shortens our time on the water, every effort will be made to reschedule for time missed.

Cancelations

Life happens...when a sailing student(s) must cancel, we will gladly reschedule for a later date or offer a refund based on the following...

  1. More than two weeks in advance, a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee and the cost of textbooks if they have been sent.
  2. 0-13 days, a 75% refund minus a $25 administrative fee and the cost of textbooks if they have been sent.
  3. If class is shortened due to weather or other unforeseen event(s) and a reschedule cannot be arranged, a prorated refund may be offered.

Expectations

You can expect Go With The Flo Adventures to provide you with well-equipped and maintained boats and high-quality instruction and coaching with plenty of motivation, cheering, high-fiving, "woot wooing" and fist bumping.  We'll also provide self-inflating lifejackets that will be worn whenever we are on the water and underway.

Students should bring sailing gear that includes a hat and sunglasses with a leash, clothing for the expected conditions, non skid shoes with non-marking soles, sunscreen, and a water bottle.  We will break for lunch each day for about an hour.  There are numerous restaurants near Marshes Light Marina that are great for an early breakfast or dinner.  Student are encouraged to bring lunch and keep it in our refrigerator on site to maximize our time on the water.

Weather can be unpredictable.  We will sail in the rain, but not in heavy rain, wind (small craft warnings and class dependent), thunder, or lightning.   Check the weather forecast leading up to your course or class and be prepared..  A light jacket with wind break and water shedding features is recommended.
